Reuters reported that the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy will be transported to the venue of the final match in New York–New Jersey using a specially designed trophy travel case created by the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton. The case was specifically designed and crafted to carry the championship trophy.
The Louis Vuitton custom case features a distinctive design, including a golden “V” on the front, which represents both “victory” and the brand’s name, Vuitton. The case also includes the brand’s iconic patterns, gold protective corners, and a beige leather interior lining. The FIFA and Louis Vuitton partnership emblem is also displayed on the case.
Louis Vuitton has taken responsibility for designing and producing the World Cup trophy travel case for the fifth consecutive tournament. The company previously created custom cases for the FIFA World Cups held in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022.
Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, stated in a press release that the company’s partnership with FIFA has continued for more than a decade and is based on a shared belief in the power of sport to inspire people and bring communities closer together.
The original FIFA World Cup trophy, which is awarded to the winning team every four years, is kept at the FIFA Museum in Zurich for most of the time. Designing the exclusive case used to transport the trophy is considered one of the most prestigious honors for the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
