Earlier, sources reported that in the clashes between local residents and Taliban forces over gold mines in Shaki district, at least 2 people have been killed and 10 others injured.

At the same time, local sources report that some armed incidents continue in Jurm district of Badakhshan. According to sources, at least 3 people have been injured and 3 others detained in these incidents.

Sources added that after the Liberation Front issued a statement about the deployment of its forces in Jurm district, the Taliban have increased their inspections in parts of this district. It is also reported that Taliban forces have been deployed to the Khustak Valley and nearby areas.

According to sources, the Liberation Front forces have also moved to the heights in the Topkhana area, in the Safri region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The Taliban have not responded to this so far.

Meanwhile, clashes and tensions between local residents and Taliban forces have continued over the past two weeks in several districts of Badakhshan. These tensions have mostly involved poppy fields, gold mines, and the activities of anti-Taliban groups.

Sources say that these clashes have intensified since last week in the districts of Argo, Shaki, Khash, and Jurm. According to information from sources: in Argo district, 2 people were killed and 8 injured; in Shaki district, 2 were killed and 10 injured; in Khash district, 11 were injured; and in Jurm district, 3 were injured and 3 others detained.
