Two Brothers Killed in Knife Attack at a Restaurant in Kabul’s Shahr-e Naw.

Two brothers have been killed in a knife attack at a restaurant in Shahr-e Naw, Kabul city.

According to reliable sources, the incident took place on Thursday, 15 Asad. The victims were identified as Farshid and Jamshid Haqbin, aged 20 and 22, respectively. They were residents of Ghobitan village in Injil district of Herat province.

Sources say that a verbal dispute had occurred the night before the incident between the two brothers and a restaurant employee over work-related issues, particularly regarding employees’ access to the kitchen. The disagreement, however, had ended that same night.

According to available information, the following morning, the employee went to the brothers’ sleeping area carrying a kitchen knife. He first attacked one of the brothers and then stabbed the second brother as he attempted to escape. Both brothers died from the severity of their injuries.

Sources add that the individual arrested in connection with the attack is currently under investigation by the Taliban’s security forces.
