The spokesperson for the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Enayatullah Alkozai, says that for the first time in Kabul, 5G internet services have been activated on an experimental basis. According to him, officials from Afghan Wireless Communication Company assured the Minister of Telecommunications, Hamdullah Namani, during a meeting that these services have been activated in 74 antennas.
Ali Allah Sarwari, the head of Afghan Wireless, stated that after completing the infrastructure and the testing phase, 5G services will be expanded to other regions of the country.
