Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has stated that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding is nearing its final stages and completion, emphasizing that speculation and assumptions about the content of the agreement should be avoided until an official announcement is made.
Writing on his X account on Friday, Araghchi said that the process of finalizing the memorandum is progressing seriously and that the relevant parties are currently working to complete the final arrangements.
He added that media speculation regarding the memorandum is premature and that it would be preferable to wait for the official announcement before drawing conclusions.
The Iranian foreign minister said that Iran’s approach has always been responsible and transparent, and pledged that once the memorandum is finalized, all of its details will be shared with the public and the media at the appropriate time.
Araghchi did not provide further information regarding the content of the memorandum, the parties involved in the negotiations, or the progress achieved so far. However, he noted that only a short distance remains before the agreement is fully concluded.
