Sources within the National Resistance Front say that Abdullah Khanjani has been appointed as the Strategic Communications Director and spokesperson for the front.
According to these sources, Mr. Khanjani will also continue to serve as the Head of the Political Office of the National Resistance Front.
On Thursday, 17th of Sawr, sources told Afghanistan International that from now on, official positions of the National Resistance Front will only be announced by Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the front, and Abdullah Khanjani, the spokesperson.
Alongside its military activities in Afghanistan, the National Resistance Front has sought to expand its political activities abroad and strengthen its presence on the international stage.
The front says that the goal of these activities is to increase political engagement and challenge the Taliban in international forums.
Abdullah Khanjani was appointed as the Head of Political Affairs of the National Resistance Front in September 1403 (Afghan calendar). Previously, he served in the former Afghan government as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of State for Peace Affairs.
