Summary

Following Pakistan’s recent airstrikes, India is the only country that has officially condemned the attacks and reaffirmed its support for Afghanistan’s territorial integrity. So far, no other country has issued an official response to the strikes.

According to reports, Pakistan’s airstrikes have caused significant casualties and extensive material damage in Afghanistan. However, the international community and most countries in the region have remained silent regarding the attacks.

Meanwhile, former Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani stated that Afghanistan is not only a victim of Pakistan’s attacks but also of international isolation, the absence of international legitimacy, and the lack of national consensus.

A number of political analysts believe that the international community’s silence reflects the Taliban administration’s deep diplomatic isolation, which has limited international reactions to developments in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad condemned the attacks on Pakistan Rangers facilities in the city of Karachi but did not condemn Pakistan’s recent airstrikes on Afghanistan.

In the same context, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that Pakistan’s recent airstrikes would not go unanswered. According to him, Afghanistan is not the initiator of war, but if war is imposed on the country, it will defend its territory and its people.

According to Mujahid, the attacks resulted in the deaths of 36 people and injuries to another 158.
