According to data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, bilateral trade volume between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan reached $915.8 million in the early months of 2026, positioning Afghanistan among Uzbekistan’s top ten trading partners.
According to the statistics, Uzbekistan’s exports to Afghanistan stood at $804 million, while its imports from Afghanistan totaled $111 million.
Meanwhile, the Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce stated that during the Afghanistan–Uzbekistan Business Forum, 22 commercial agreements worth over $200 million were signed between the private sectors of both countries.
The Taliban further reported that since the beginning of 2026, a total of 90 trade agreements and memorandums of understanding valued at $1.4 billion have been signed between the two nations, with both sides working toward elevating annual bilateral trade to $5 billion.
