On Monday morning, a deadly traffic accident on the highway leading to Kabul, near the Tashqurghan district, claimed the lives of six people and injured several others.
According to initial reports, a passenger bus of the 580 type traveling toward Kabul collided violently with a fuel tanker truck. As a result of the crash, the bus driver and conductor, along with two women and two men, lost their lives.
Several other passengers aboard the bus were also injured in the collision. The exact number of injured individuals and their medical condition has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.
The cause of the accident has not yet been officially determined, but investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Traffic accidents of this nature remain one of the leading causes of fatalities on Afghanistan’s highways, claiming dozens of lives each year. Experts emphasize adherence to traffic laws, speed control, avoidance of illegal overtaking, and improvement of road conditions as key factors in reducing such incidents.
