Ariana Afghan airlines has announced the resumption of direct flights between Kabul and Delhi following the acquisition of new permits from the Civil Aviation Authority of India.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 3, the Taliban-controlled airline stated that flights on this route will henceforth operate according to a set schedule. The airline did not provide details regarding the cause of recent flight suspensions or delays.
This development follows an aviation incident last year involving an Ariana flight landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Upon arrival, the aircraft landed on a runway simultaneously designated for another aircraft's departure.
According to reports, prompt directives from air traffic control prevented a potential disaster. Following the incident, Indian aviation authorities launched an investigation into possible human error or communication failures.
