Taliban’s Department for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Balkh has arrested a man and a woman on charges of “witchcraft” from Zari District in the province.
The department stated that the individuals were arrested yesterday (Wednesday, May 13).
It claimed that the man and woman had traveled from Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital of Balkh, to Zari District for “witchcraft.”
The department has not provided further details or information about the fate of the individuals.
