In Pakistan, 25 million children are deprived of education.

The Ministry of Education of Pakistan has stated that more than 25 million children across the country are deprived of attending school.
The Minister of Education, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, responding to questions in the National Assembly, said that currently about 25 million and 370 thousand children, aged between five and 16, are deprived of basic education.
According to him, Punjab has the highest number of children who do not attend school, totaling 9 million and 600 thousand.
He added that in Sindh, 7 million and 820 thousand children are out of school; in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4 million and 920 thousand; in Balochistan, 2 million and 940 thousand; and in Islamabad, nearly 90 thousand children are deprived of education.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also stated that in Islamabad alone, 70 thousand children have been re-enrolled in schools.
