The Ministry of Petroleum of Iran, through its public relations office, has announced that during recent attacks in the Mahshahr special economic zone, part of the Karon petrochemical complex was targeted.
According to the ministry’s statement, rockets fired by Israel struck certain sections of the industrial complex. Following the incident, all employees were instructed to evacuate the area immediately as a safety precaution.
Iranian officials have not yet released details regarding possible casualties or the extent of financial damage. However, they stated that relevant authorities are currently on site assessing the situation and working to prevent potential hazards.
This incident comes amid rising military tensions between Iran and Israel in recent days, with both sides accusing each other of carrying out attacks.
