Yadollah Javani, the Political Deputy of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has stated that if Iran’s enemies make another “mistake,” Tehran’s response will be much harsher, more decisive, and unimaginable.
He emphasized that Iran has full control over the Strait of Hormuz and added that the country has reached a position, after five centuries, that is considered a legitimate and undeniable right of the Iranian people.
Javani said that Iran’s opponents are now faced with two choices: “a bad option and a worse option.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s state broadcaster (IRIB/Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) published a report under the headline “Unofficial Details” regarding the possibility of an understanding between Tehran and Washington.
According to the report, the United States has pledged to facilitate Iran’s access to $12 billion of its assets within 60 days, allowing these financial resources to be transferred to designated banks and used without restrictions.
The report also stated that, under the proposed understanding, Iran would be the sole authority responsible for determining the nature of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Ships whose cargo is deemed a threat or whose ultimate beneficiaries are considered hostile to Iran would not be recognized as commercial vessels.
IRIB emphasized that these details are still part of an unofficial understanding and remain under review, negotiation, and evaluation.
