The Israeli military announced that Mohammed Oudeh, the new commander of Hamas’s military wing, was killed in an Israeli strike in northern Gaza.
In a statement released today, Wednesday, May 27, the Israeli army said that Mohammed Oudeh had been appointed commander of Hamas’s military wing after the killing of Izz al-Din Haddad.
Earlier this month, Israel announced that Izz al-Din Haddad had been killed in its attacks, a claim that was later confirmed by Hamas.
Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue despite a ceasefire that has been in place between Israel and Hamas since October of last year.
At the same time, Israel has continued its attacks in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese government.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said that at least 30 people were killed in yesterday’s Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon.
