Between January and May 2026, Kazakhstan exported 81 horses to Afghanistan. According to official Kazakh statistics, the country's livestock and poultry exports during this period increased by 1.7 times compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, Kazakhstan exported a total of 717,200 head of livestock and poultry worth approximately $7.9 million to foreign markets over these five months.
During this period, Uzbekistan was the largest buyer of Kazakh horses, importing 17,600 head. Additionally, 129 horses were exported to China, 81 to Afghanistan, and 62 to Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, domestic poultry exports doubled, with a total of 645,000 chickens shipped to Tajikistan. Sheep exports also grew 3.3-fold, with 48,700 head exported to Uzbekistan.
