Local sources in Kunar say the body of a teenage boy who had gone missing from Asadabad, the provincial capital, has been found in neighboring Nangarhar province.
According to the sources, the teenager disappeared last Thursday. His body was discovered today (Monday, July 27) in the Wiyali 25 area of Ghani Khel district in Nangarhar.
The sources identified the victim as Nosrat, adding that his body bore multiple stab wounds.
The motive for the killing and the identity of those responsible remain unknown.
The local Taliban authorities in Kunar and Nangarhar have not yet commented on the incident.
Since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan, numerous mysterious killings have been reported across different provinces.
In most cases, the perpetrators are described as unidentified armed individuals, and the Taliban have rarely announced the identification or prosecution of those responsible.
