Summary

After nearly fifty years, Pakistan has once again begun exporting alcoholic beverages to foreign countries.

The head of “Murree Brewery” in Rawalpindi stated that last month the company exported alcoholic drinks produced in Pakistan to Japan and several European countries.

According to him, the export of Pakistani alcoholic beverages has resumed after a long hiatus, and the company is striving to bring its products to the global market.

Murree Brewery is considered one of the oldest beverage companies in Pakistan, with official sales centers in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and many other cities across the country. Reports indicate that the company also holds an official license to sell alcoholic beverages at the “PC” Hotel in Peshawar.

Although Pakistan is an Islamic country, the production and sale of alcoholic beverages is permitted under special laws for non-Muslims and foreigners.
