The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has stated that no official or temporary ceasefire has been agreed upon with the Taliban, and what took place during the Eid holidays was only a three-day break that has now ended.
The spokesperson for the ministry told reporters in Islamabad today that the use of the term “ceasefire” for the current situation is incorrect and does not align with the facts.
He emphasized that the break during Eid was a limited and temporary measure, not an official or long-term agreement between the two parties.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the security situation in the region remains sensitive, and care must be taken in the use of terminology to prevent any misunderstandings among the people.
