The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Apreidi, in his speech at a tribal Jirga, made strong criticisms of Pakistan’s military and stated that their wrong behavior has become the main cause of mistrust between the people and the government.
He called the disrespect towards tribal leaders and parliamentary representatives an unacceptable and wrong act, emphasizing that such behavior harms the traditional values of society. According to him, it goes beyond the limit of tolerance when a soldier uses violence against elders and tribal leaders.
In an emotional tone, Apreidi addressed the military, saying they must respect their uniform and treat the people with dignity because disrespecting the people damages the credibility of the army.
He added that due to such behavior, the gap between the people and the army is widening day by day, and the situation has reached a point where some people no longer show respect for the national symbols of the country in the same way as before.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finally warned that if such behavior by the military continues, the anger of the people will increase, and this will have serious consequences for social stability.
