The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of the Taliban has announced that the process of oil extraction has begun in the Zamaradsai area, which is part of the Amu River oil basin. According to the ministry, five out of twelve wells in this region have been activated on an experimental basis. Officials say that approximately 500 tons of oil are being extracted daily from these active wells. The Taliban consider this project an important step in utilizing the country’s natural resources and fostering economic growth.
