The Taliban have arrested seven individuals in Yaftal-e Payeen district of Badakhshan province on allegations of cooperating with the “Sepah-e Mihan” group.
According to reports, the detained individuals have been transferred to Faizabad city, the provincial capital, and are currently being held at a Taliban intelligence detention facility. Some local residents say that continued searches and arrests by the Taliban have disrupted daily life and increased tensions over the security situation in the area.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that a rocket attack was carried out last night on a Taliban security checkpoint in an area of Faizabad city. However, no official information has been released so far regarding possible casualties.
Separately, clashes between Taliban forces and fighters from the National Resistance Front have continued intermittently in various areas of Zebak district in Badakhshan. Independent sources have not yet provided verified details regarding casualties or the extent of damage caused by the clashes.
