Rahim Sikandar, a Taliban propagandist on social media who recently began criticizing the group, has reportedly been detained by Taliban intelligence officials in Khost.
A source in Khost said that Rahim Sikandar was detained from his shop in Khost city yesterday (Saturday, August 22) and taken by Taliban intelligence forces to an undisclosed location.
The source said Sikandar had recently been consistently criticizing the Taliban government’s policies and had been posting critical content on Facebook.
According to available information, Sikandar previously worked with Hurriyat Radio in Kabul, a station close to the Taliban. However, he was also detained by the Taliban last year and dismissed from his job.
Sikandar has operated a clothing shop in Khost city for approximately the past year.
