The 215 Azm Corps of the Taliban has stated that border forces in the Rabat area of Baramcha district, Helmand province, have foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition into Pakistan.
According to the corps, during the operation, 50 Kalashnikov rifles and 15,000 Kalashnikov rounds were seized and confiscated, preventing their smuggling into Pakistan.
The Taliban said that investigations into the incident have been launched; however, no further details have been provided regarding the detained individuals or the smuggling network.
According to the Taliban, border forces continue their efforts to prevent the smuggling of weapons, ammunition, and other illegal goods.
