Officials of the former Afghan Republic, Tamim Aasi, in his latest remarks, have made severe criticisms of Fawzia Koofi, a former member of the Wolesi Jirga. He claimed that some of Fawzia Koofi’s close relatives have connections with the Taliban’s intelligence structure.
Aasi stated that Fawzia Koofi’s son-in-law is the deputy of the intelligence agency of the current rulers in Nangarhar. He also added that Fawzia Koofi’s sister is the third wife of one of the leaders of this agency.
Based on these claims, Aasi questioned Fawzia Koofi’s political stance and called her struggle a “political show.”
So far, Fawzia Koofi has not officially responded to Tamim Aasi’s statements.
