The head of the Taliban’s Administrative Affairs Office, Noorulhaq Anwar, has claimed that the Taliban administration and its actions are similar to the path of the prophets, and that their system is following in the footsteps of the prophets.
Speaking on Sunday at a meeting with staff of the Administrative Affairs Office, he said that the Taliban administration, like Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), has, in his words, struggled against “global disbelief” and has so far maintained its position.
Noorulhaq Anwar described life under Taliban rule as something to be thankful for and added that their system is on the path of the prophets, and for this purpose they have accepted various risks.
He also claimed that the Taliban have never retreated from their “rightful position” and have made sacrifices to achieve their goals.
These remarks come at a time when, after taking power, the Taliban have consistently presented their system as being based on Islamic principles, but their policies and approaches have also faced widespread criticism from domestic and international organizations.
