The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, under the Taliban administration, has announced that it will implement a digital document and correspondence management system across 13 government ministries and agencies nationwide.
In a statement issued on Monday, 18 Jowza, the ministry said that the necessary steps for implementing the system have already begun and that it will be gradually rolled out in the relevant departments.
According to the statement, Mohammad Amin Jan Omari, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration, held discussions in Kabul with Abdul Rahman Safi, Director General of Digital Governance, and officials from the relevant agencies regarding the implementation plan of the system.
Omari stated that, if necessary, technical adjustments will be made to further enhance the system’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Safi, Director General of Digital Governance, said that specialized training workshops will be organized for IT officials of ministries and government departments to familiarize staff with the new system and facilitate its implementation.
According to Taliban officials, the digital document and correspondence management system was approved approximately one month ago by the Economic Commission chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.
Following its approval, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has been tasked with gradually implementing the system across the designated ministries and government departments.
