The Taliban’s police command in Samangan province says that three people were killed and one person injured following a traffic accident in the Khulm district of the province.
Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Taliban’s police command in Samangan, stated that the incident occurred this morning (Thursday, May 14) in the Sayad area of Khulm district.
He added that the accident happened after a “Fortuner” car collided with a “Tiler” pickup truck.
The spokesperson said that the victims included one woman and two men.
He did not provide the cause of the accident.
Traffic accidents in Afghanistan claim hundreds of lives and leave hundreds injured each year. The main causes of most of these accidents are said to be driver negligence, lack of traffic signs, and poor road conditions.
