Donald Trump, the President of the United States, rejected claims made by some members of the Democratic Party that recent wars have strengthened the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On Thursday, Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that recent conflicts have severely damaged Iran’s military capabilities, and that the country no longer possesses the same air force, naval power, air defense systems, and radar capabilities as it did before.
He added that the outcome of these wars has weakened Iran rather than strengthened it.
He also strongly criticized political groups that argue Iran is now in a better position than it was four months ago, saying: “Can you believe anyone would say such a thing? How foolish can some people be?”
These remarks come amid ongoing political debate in the United States regarding the recent understanding between Iran and the U.S., as well as the consequences of the war, with politicians from both parties holding differing views on Iran’s current situation.
