A number of Afghan citizens living in Germany held a protest gathering in Berlin to express their support for the women and people of Afghanistan. Participants said the purpose of the demonstration was to bring the voices of the Afghan people, especially women, to the attention of the international community.
During the rally, protesters chanted slogans such as “Until the Taliban are buried, this homeland will not be a true homeland,” “Bread, Work, Freedom,” “No to the Taliban,” and “No to Gender Apartheid.” They called for the protection of fundamental rights, individual freedoms, and human dignity for the people of Afghanistan.
Participants also emphasized the importance of supporting women’s rights, ensuring girls’ access to education, safeguarding the right to work, and protecting civil liberties. They urged the international community not to remain indifferent to the current situation in Afghanistan and to take more effective measures to support the rights of its citizens.
In their speeches and messages, the protesters highlighted the restrictions that have been imposed on the lives of Afghan women and girls in recent years. They stressed that women and girls face widespread limitations in various areas, including education and employment.
The gathering was held amid ongoing concerns about the state of women’s rights and civil freedoms in Afghanistan. Participants called on international organizations and governments around the world to pay greater attention to the demands of the Afghan people.
According to the protesters, despite widespread international criticism and reactions to Taliban policies in recent years, the restrictions imposed on women and certain social freedoms in Afghanistan have continued and, in some cases, have become even more severe.
