A young man named Arman Khan was killed last night in an armed knife attack in the 12th district of Kabul city. According to sources, the motive behind the attack was the theft of his mobile phone.
Relatives of the victim told the media that the incident took place in Block Two of Ahmad Shah Baba Township. They said the attackers stabbed Arman Khan in the neck with a knife while attempting to steal his phone.
Sources said Arman Khan, originally from Gul Aram village in Laghman province, had been working as a laborer in Kabul to support his family and cover living expenses. He died at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
At the time of publication, security officials of the Taliban government had not issued any official statement regarding the incident, and no details had been released about the identity of the perpetrators or the motive behind the killing.
The incident comes amid continued concerns over the rise in criminal activities in parts of Kabul, particularly armed robberies and killings linked to such crimes.
