The President of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Sayed Karim Hashemi, emphasized the need to expand economic relations and increase trade between Afghanistan and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization while participating in an exhibition held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment stated in a press release on Saturday (6 Saratan) that the exhibition was organized by the Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was inaugurated by Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statement, Hashemi held discussions on the sidelines of the exhibition with several heads and representatives of chambers of commerce and industry from SCO member states regarding bilateral trade relations, economic cooperation, and strengthening coordination among the private sector.

In addition, the delegation of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, together with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, visited various sections of the exhibition and emphasized the creation of new opportunities for economic engagement, investment, and trade between Afghanistan and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The statement noted that the purpose of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment delegation’s visit is to expand private sector relations and enhance coordination with representatives of the chambers of commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Iran.
