In Logar Province’s Baraki Barak district, wrestling competitions titled the “Barya Cup” have been held.
The Taliban-run General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports said in a statement that the one-day competitions were organized by the representative office of the Wrestling Federation, in cooperation with the Logar Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
According to the source, 40 athletes from different age groups participated in the competitions and competed against one another for the championship title.
At the end of the competitions, 20 athletes secured championship titles in various categories after defeating their opponents and earning the highest number of points.
The Taliban-run General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports did not disclose the names of the winners or their respective age categories in its statement.
