“Educational Situation in Zarghan: Need for the Development of Cultural and Educational Centers in Deprived Areas”

Zarghan – Residents and students of Zarghan province have expressed concern about the educational situation in the province, complaining about the lack of educational centers and necessary facilities for education. They say that over the past two decades, insufficient attention has been paid to the education sector, and the existing schools are not able to meet the needs of the student population.

Many remote and rural areas still do not have access to proper schools, and students are forced to travel long and unsafe distances to reach schools. This issue not only hinders the education of children but also reduces cultural and educational participation in the community.

Zarghan province currently has six districts, and the majority of its population resides in these districts. The lack of educational equipment, limited textbooks, shortage of teachers, and the poor condition of school buildings are among the biggest challenges faced by the province.

With the start of the new academic year, students have called on the government and local authorities to take immediate action to address these shortages. They emphasize that the development of schools, increasing the number of teachers, and providing educational facilities in deprived areas are essential needs of the province and will play an important role in enhancing the cultural level of society.

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Shamsullah, the head of education in Zarghan province, stated that the educational situation has improved compared to the past, and efforts to enhance the quality of education continue. He added that in the new academic year, the construction of 43 new schools will begin to increase the educational capacity of the province and provide access to education for students.

According to the statistics from the Zarghan Education Department, there are currently about 240 active schools in the province, providing educational services to nearly 80,000 students. However, the lack of educational centers remains one of the main challenges and requires special attention.

The residents of Zarghan hope that educational and cultural projects will be pursued with seriousness in the coming years so that existing problems are reduced, and all students can benefit from educational and cultural opportunities. They believe that the development of education not only increases the academic and cultural capacity of youth but also plays an important role in the cultural and social stability of the province.
