
Iranian media have reported that Kamel Kharazi, the head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and former foreign minister of Iran, was injured in attacks by the United States and Israel, and his wife was killed.
According to the ISNA news agency, Mr. Kharazi was injured yesterday (Thursday, 12th of Hamal) in his home in Tehran during attacks by the U.S. and Israel.
The media reported that he is currently hospitalized, but no details have been provided about his condition.
Seyed Ali Naqi Kharazi, commonly known as Kamel Kharazi, served as Iran’s foreign minister from August 1997 to August 2005 during the presidency of Mohammad Khatami.
He is also a member of the Expediency Discernment Council and was an international affairs advisor to Ali Khamenei, the former leader of Iran.
