Trump stated that the 10-day deadline given to Iran has now expired, and only 48 hours remain. If no action is taken, “the situation will be like hell for them.”
The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the most important strategic maritime routes in the world, through which a large portion of global oil and natural gas passes. Any closure of this route would have a profound and direct impact on global energy markets.
These statements come at a time when tensions in the region have escalated, and tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran have reached new levels.
On the other hand, European countries and some other international parties have emphasized that resolving the issue with Iran through force and military pressure is not only wrong but also unrealistic. They have criticized the United States for its “bullying” behavior and for violating international principles.
