The U.S. government has revoked the permanent residency cards (green cards) of the daughter and Niece of Qasem Soleimani, Hamideh Soleimani, and has begun the process of their deportation.
According to reports, these individuals were residing in the U.S. at a time when tensions between Washington and Tehran were escalating, and they had expressed support for Iran while strongly criticizing the U.S.
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, stated that individuals who, in his words, support “terrorist regimes” do not have the right to remain in the U.S. He also confirmed that these individuals have been detained.
Qasem Soleimani, who was the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed several years ago in an American airstrike on Iraqi soil. He was on the U.S. sanctions list and was considered one of the key figures in regional conflicts.
The presence of Soleimani’s family members in the U.S. has sparked widespread reactions, as some believe that those who support anti-American activities are sending their relatives to live in the U.S.
