In Nangarhar province, Taliban officials have reported that following severe storms, floods, and rocket fire as a result of ongoing conflicts, at least seven people have been killed and 22 others injured. According to available information, these incidents occurred in the districts of Jalalabad, Benar Tarakhnak, Darah Noor, Sra Rod, and Shinwari, with women and children among the casualties.
Meanwhile, in the Kochti district, some residents trapped in flood-affected areas have also been reported to have suffered damage due to the floods. The Taliban has announced that medical aid has been sent to the affected areas, but local people say there is still an urgent need for broader humanitarian and medical assistance.
