The Piakistan Institute for Urban and Security Studies has recently reported that the number of terrorist attacks in the country decreased by 35% in March of this year.
According to the institute’s data, this decrease was recorded despite an increase in the intensity of Taliban operations along the Afghanistan border and within Afghan territory. The report adds that, with the initiation of these operations, civilian casualties in Pakistan have also significantly decreased, showing a reduction of about 70%.
Analysts believe that these changes are due to strengthened security measures, increased border control, and coordinated actions against armed groups. However, they emphasize that for maintaining a sustainable security situation, more serious efforts are still required.
