Several Democratic members of the U.S. Congress have called for the impeachment of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, due to his threats against the people of Iran.
Melanie Stansbury, a Democratic representative, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on the night of April 7th that the time has come for Trump to be removed from the presidency and has urged Republican members in Congress and the Cabinet to take immediate action.
She stated that Trump’s threat to destroy an entire civilization is “insane” and that he should not be allowed to set the world on fire.
Robert Garcia, another Democratic representative, emphasized that “Trump has lost his mind,” and the Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution to remove him from office.
Dan Pierre, another Democratic representative, said that his Republican colleagues have turned a blind eye to Trump’s uncontrollable threats and that the Speaker of the House must take action to stop these illegal and immoral threats.
Dwight Evans, also referring to Trump’s past actions, stated that “this strange behavior of his is another reason for his unfitness for any public office” and emphasized that Trump should be removed through impeachment.
