Obaidullah Shirazi, an Afghan taekwondo athlete, defeated his Pakistani opponent at the eighth edition of the 2026 WT Asian Regional President’s Cup, advancing to the next stage of the competition.
The match was held today, Monday, 26 Asad, in the Poomsae category between Obaidullah Shirazi and a Pakistani athlete. Shirazi emerged victorious after securing a higher score.
With the win, Shirazi earned a place in the next round and will continue his campaign in the tournament.
The eighth edition of the 2026 WT Asian Regional President’s Cup is currently being held in Lahore, Pakistan, with athletes from various countries across the region taking part.
