The Afghanistan Football Federation has announced the appointment of Shakirullah Ebrahimi as the Head of the Referees Committee of the federation.
According to information provided by the federation, Mr. Ebrahimi holds a higher education degree in Physical Education and has been active in Afghanistan’s football refereeing sector since 2012. Prior to this appointment, he also held various positions within the Kandahar Football Federation.
In 2018, he participated in a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) training program hosted in South Korea. He also served as an honorary lecturer at Kandahar University for two years.
Since 2019, Ebrahimi has worked as a football referees’ instructor in Afghanistan, playing an effective role in training referees and enhancing their professional capacity.
He also holds a FIFA Level Three coaching certificate in goalkeeper education. Throughout his career with the Kandahar Football Federation, he has held several responsibilities, including roles in refereeing, goalkeeping, youth development, futsal, judicial committees, finance and administration, as well as serving as Technical Deputy.
