The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the Afghanistan A team, known as the “Afghan Abdalions,” led by Darwish Rasooli, for the 2026 Asian Games.
The squad includes Darwish Rasooli, Ishaq Rahimi, Hassan Eisakhil, Mohammad Akram, Imran Mir, Khalid Tanaiwal, Najibullah Zadran, Faisal Shinwarzada, Farman Sapi, Karim Janat, Esmat Alam, Nangyal Kharoti, Arab Gul, Faridun Dawoodzai, and Abdullah Ahmadzai.
The 2026 Asian Games will be held in the Japanese cities of Aichi and Nagoya. Afghanistan will face Nepal and Japan in the preliminary round of the competition and will advance to the next stage if it secures the required victories.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has also listed the “Afghan Abdalions” on its official website as Afghanistan’s second-string, or “A,” team.
