The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has announced that its forces carried out an operation against the Taliban in the Firing district of Baghlan province, resulting in what the group claims were four Taliban members killed and wounded.
According to a press release issued by the National Resistance Front, the operation took place on the evening of Friday, 22 Jawza, in the Firing district of Baghlan. The statement says that NRF forces conducted a “targeted operation” against the Taliban.
The group claims that as a result of this operation, one Taliban member was killed and three others were wounded. It also states that a Taliban military vehicle was destroyed during the attack.
According to the National Resistance Front, the operation was carried out around midnight, and none of its forces sustained any casualties.
The group also emphasized that this operation was the third attack carried out by its forces in the past two days in northeastern Afghan provinces. Previously, the NRF had also reported two other operations against the Taliban in Baghlan and Badakhshan provinces.
The Taliban have so far not responded to these claims, and the details of the incident have not been independently verified.
