U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Iran has “told many lies” and that he no longer trusts the country; however, he has emphasized that the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran still remains.
Speaking at a meeting, Trump said that talks between Iran and the United States are ongoing, but warned that Washington would take strong military action if necessary.
He claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been weakened as a result of U.S. strikes.
Meanwhile, Iran and the United States have accused each other of violating the Islamabad understanding. Negotiations between the two countries are continuing with mediation efforts by Pakistan, Qatar, and Oman.
