Afghanistan’s under‑17 football league has begun in Kabul.

Afghanistan’s Under‑17 football league kicked off on Saturday, the 3rd of Asad, at the Afghanistan Football Federation stadium in Kabul, with the participation of ten teams.

The Taliban’s Directorate of Olympic, Physical Training, and Sports stated that two matches were held on the opening day. In the first match, Farah Abumoslem and Faryab Khorasan ended with a 1–1 draw.

In the second match, Kandahar’s Ettefaq Khanzada defeated Kabul’s Jawanan Piroozi 2–1.

The award for the best player of the first match was given to Talib Hussain Rahimi of Farah Abumoslem, while the best player of the second match was Nabiullah Khushal of Kandahar’s Ettefaq Khanzada.

Teams participating in this year’s Under‑17 league include Farah Abumoslem, Faryab Khorasan, Kandahar Ettefaq Khanzada, Kabul Jawanan Piroozi, Arman FC, Kandahar Aino Mina, Faryab Sarsabz Yashlar, Herat Toofan Harirod, Kabul Esteqlal, and Herat Sorkhposhan Khafi.
