Argentina has listed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the list of terrorist organizations.

The Argentine Presidency Office announced in a statement on Tuesday that the country has designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist organization.”

Previously, in January 2025, Argentina had declared the Quds Force of the IRGC as a “terrorist organization.”

Argentina claims to have been a victim of Quds Force operations in the 1990s, including the attack on the Israeli embassy in 1992 and the bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in 1994.

The Argentine Presidency Office stated that this move will allow the implementation of financial sanctions and other operational restrictions.
