The CEO of the Jordan Oil Refinery Company has announced that the country’s fuel reserves of gas and gasoline are currently only sufficient to meet domestic needs for a period of two months. These statements come at a time when the Middle East region is facing increasing political and security tensions, and concerns about the stability of energy supply have risen.
He emphasized that the limited reserves highlight the importance of consumption management and precise planning in the energy sector. He also noted that regional fluctuations could have a direct impact on the fuel import process and supply chain.
According to him, the Jordanian government is exploring strategies to strengthen strategic reserves and reduce potential risks. These measures include diversifying supply sources and increasing storage capacity, so the country can better withstand unforeseen developments.
