The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has announced that any approach of military ships to the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the two-week ceasefire with the United States and will face a “decisive and severe” response.
In a statement released by Iranian state media, it is mentioned that this vital maritime passage is under the “intelligent control and management” of Iran’s naval forces.
The Guard emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is open for the safe passage of civilian ships, in accordance with specific regulations; however, any military movements in this route will be met with a serious response.
