Afghanistan’s national cricket team player, Azmatullah Omarzai, has strongly criticized the inappropriate behavior of some individuals during his mother’s funeral.
Omarzai, who recently lost his mother, said that at the funeral, many people were busy taking photos and videos to the extent that he was unable to spend his final moments with his mother in a peaceful environment.
In an emotional message, he asked people to respect such sensitive moments and to respect the privacy of grieving families during times of sorrow. According to him, places like funerals and cemeteries should be governed by calmness, dignity, and human decency, not used for taking photos and videos.
Omarzai emphasized that such actions are not only disrespectful but also increase the pain of grieving families.
His remarks are a serious response to a growing issue in society, where some individuals use even sorrowful and painful ceremonies for fame and social media content. Many people believe that adhering to human and Islamic values in such times is a fundamental responsibility of every individual.
